Some reasons to adopt the FIPAQ®

To edit the APQP documents and reducing up to 70% of the development time
The product and manufacturing process data are shared in the FIPAQ® documents, assuring the consistency of all development information and a significant reduction in the edition time.
This means that the changes on the characteristics of the product or process is updated by FIPAQ® in all affected documents, without the need to digit again the shared information.

To view the Images and Drawings
The Images and CAD Drawings in electronic file (formats DWG, DXF, JPG, etc.) can be enclosed and visualized directly from FIPAQ® without the need to install any CAD software in the computer.
Therefore all authorized users can have immediate access to the drawings and details of the product from any computer within the local network where the FIPAQ® has been installed.

Total management of the product development
The schedule of activities of the FIPAQ® addresses the key APQP activities, enabling the planning and the continuous monitoring over the activities of each development under execution.
Through the Schedule of Activities are assigned the responsible and lead-time for each activity of the development of the product and manufacturing process.
At the moment that the user access the FIPAQ® the Actions Notification screen is showed automatically with activities in delay and/or activities with the lead-time to be expired within 7 days.

Total flexibility: Registration of the related APQP documents
The Internal or external documents generated by any other software, such as a text editor, a spreadsheet, a presentation or an e-mail received or sent, can be included into the FIPAQ®, enabling the access to all APQP information by any computer within the local network where the FIPAQ® has been installed.

To implement the APQP in the shop floor
The FIPAQ® generates the work instructions from the Process flow Diagram and Control Plan, assuring the consistency of the information, reducing the development lead-time and the compliance to the automotive standards.

In the work instructions it is possible to include the following information:
- The procedure description (steps) for each operation of the manufacturing process.
- The controls over each process operation (Control of product characteristics or process parameters)
- The icon related to the activity type of each step of the manufacturing process.
- A space to include an image (photo or schematic drawing in format JPG, BMP, GIF etc.)
For each process step can be developed various work instructions types, such as:
- Setup Instructions
- Work instruction.
- Reaction Plan
The work instructions can be printed up to 6 (six) different formats, according to the complexity of the information, permitting the best understanding and easiness of the work instructions utilization by the operators involved in the execution of the manufacturing processes.

To reduce the Time and Cost in the APQP development
Through the sharing of the APQP information, the multifunctional personnel get a significant increasing of productivity in the preparation, management and the emission of the documents required by APQP.
The organizations where FIPAQ® has been implemented is possible to reduce up to 40% in the APQP development time for a brand new product. For a new development of a similar product that already has been developed by using FIPAQ® the time reduction is up to 70%.

To keep the APQP revision history
The FIPAQ® keeps the historic of all change occurred in the APQP developments, assuring the total compliance to the automotive standards and the maintenance of the organization knowledge base.

To copy all APQP data from a part to another new part
Through the copy function of the FIPAQ®, all documents of an existing part can be copied for a new revision or a new part development with two clics on the mouse.

To generate automatically the Process Flow Diagram and the results of Dimensional, Material and Performance Reports
Since the manufacturing process operations and the product characteristics have been registered in the FIPAQ®, the Process Flow Diagram, the reports of results of the Dimensional, Material and Performance can be generated with a simple click on the mouse.

To share the APQP information in real time
FIPAQ® is a multi user software and the developments information are available simultaneously for all people of the multifunctional teams in any computer within the local network where the FIPAQ® has been installed, allowing total integration of the APQP activities.

To assure the control of the changes, approval and the APQP documents access
Each user has a password that determines the access level toward each FIPAQ® module, assuring that only the authorized personal can edit or to print the documents. The approvals are done through electronic signature. Once a document has been approved, it can be changed only after the removal of the approval signature. The FIPAQ® registers the user’s name, the date and time of any change performed in the APQP documents.

To print a complete PPAP of an specific part
With FIPAQ® the printing of the PPAP documents (3rd. Edition) is done automatically with two clics on the mouse, making the part approval process quicker, easier and simple.

To release all APQP documents in PDF files
The FIPAQ® has the capability to emit all APQP or PPAP documents in Adobe Acrobat format (PDF files) without the need to install any other software, allowing the documents release via e-mail or to publish them in the Intranet or Internet for part approval submission purposes.

To submit the part approval process via Internet or any other media
With FIPAQ® the supplier can generate a data file with all documentation of a PPAP, VDA2 or ISR-PSA to be submitted to the customer through Internet, a diskette or CD ROM, since the customer is using the FIPAQ Customer
With FIPAQ® Customer (*) the customer receives the data file of the part, analyzes the results, decides the disposition and returns the certificate signed off to supplier
